Being part of the IoT Summit sets the focus for our event. We ask what will the Internet possibly look like in 5 to 10 years. And what does it require technically and with perspective on IPv6 and security to make this happen. What are the new challenges, where and how do we need to prepare infrastructure to prepare for this.
There will be presentations around these topics and a panel with interesting panelists covering different perspectives on these questions. Gert Döring is moderating the panel. Don't miss this opportunity and register here. You can register for the full week or just for June 7.

Speakers and session description
IPv6 and its Role in IoT, 11.30 - 12.10
According to various studies, such as the Ericsson Mobility Report, a significant part of the anticipated growth in connected devices will no longer be driven by traditional communication devices such as smartphones, laptops and tablets, but rather by IoT devices. The number of these devices is expected to triple by 2021, while the number of traditional devices is set to stay more or less stagnant.
Although this huge number of network participants will open up many new opportunities in the field of digitisation, it will also pose considerable challenges for the network infrastructure. Due to the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses, the rollout of IPv6 is a key step forward in countering the rapid growth in the IoT space.
